The orphanage is a home for children that have no parents or one of their parents is deceased and they are classified as destitute because the remaining parent cannot afford to support them. This situation is the result of the AIDS pandemic and other diseases which take the lives of the parents, leaving behind many children with no hope for their future. There is a tremendous need for orphanages to care for these innocent children, since many of them will end up living on the streets and starving to death without our help.
Presently, we have 151 orphans/vulnerable children who receive physical, academic and spiritual support. The orphanage consists of Rehema Children's Home and Nzoia Rehema Academy where the children are taught by a staff of Christian teachers. Both are officially registered by the government of Kenya.
Rehema Orphanage Vision
Our vision is to empower the orphans and vulnerable children in order to transform them to be responsible members of society.
Rehema Orphanage Mission
We are committed to provide a loving home, support and a Christian-based education for all disadvantaged children, victims of extreme poverty, HIV/AIDS, violence, exploitation and those with disabilities. All actions affecting a child will be done in the child's best interest. There will be maximum care in protecting the rights of the child.
